Tennis World Tour – Roland-Garros Edition – Revised version released in May

By

Following the somewhat unsuccessful launch of 'Tennis World Tour' last year, Big Ben and Breakpoint have been working intensively on a revision of the game, which will now be released next May as the Roland-Garros Edition.

Since its release in 2018, Breakpoint has regularly delivered updates for Tennis World Tour, all with one clear goal: an optimized player experience. This has included improvements to the online mode, overhauls to the gameplay and AI, and an overall enhancement of the player experience through the addition of videos and animations, as well as a detailed facial customization system.

With Tennis World Tour – Roland-Garros Edition, the studio now offers new content and brings the player experience even closer to reality: In order to enable realistic animations of the matches on the clay court, further motion capturing sessions were carried out.

The collaboration with the FFT has also made it possible to add additional official content to the game. This includes, in particular, the three main courts of the Roland Garros tournament, which are faithfully and meticulously recreated in Tennis World Tour – Roland-Garros Edition – including the Simonne Mathieu Court, whose real-world counterpart is not yet complete.

The Roland-Garros Edition is a standalone game. These are its key contents and features:

  • The complete contents of the Tennis World Tour released in 2018, including all twelve updates released since then.
  • Three new players: one male and two female, who will be revealed shortly.
  • The contents of the Legends edition include André Agassi and John McEnroe as playable characters.
  • The new Roland Garros courts: Philippe-Chartrier, Suzanne-Lenglen and Simonne-Mathieu
  • The Center Court of the Mutua Madrid Open: La Caja Mágica
  • Events available in career mode: the Mutua Madrid Open in May and a Roland Garros event in June.

The contents of the Roland-Garros Edition will also be available separately for players who already own Tennis World Tour.

Furthermore, the game's online mode makes it possible to hold the Roland-Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas eSports tournament again this year. In 2019, the tournament will grow further with the addition of two more countries: Germany and the USA. The prize money will also increase to €10.000.
