Developer Question has announced the release date of their cooperative horror survival game 'The Blackout Club'confirmed for the coming July.
In The Blackout Club, up to four players become a team of teenage investigators who uncover a gigantic secret at the heart of their community. They embark on a dangerous journey into the unknown, which you and your friends must survive to solve the mystery.
Each of these teenagers has lost consciousness at some point—sometimes for days—only to wake up in strange places with no memory of what they did. During one such episode, a friend mysteriously disappears. No one believes them—not the police, not their teachers, not even their parents. Therefore, the club has no option but to take matters into their own hands.
Together, you'll uncover a vast conspiracy, which may or may not have supernatural origins. However, simply being cautious isn't always enough. Unlike most games that feature typical power fantasies, the Blackout Club members aren't powerful enough to directly confront adults. Their strength lies in cooperation, though. Your team must find ways to improvise, overcome challenges, and act as a pack, employing hit-and-run tactics to outsmart their enemies.
What makes The Blackout Club unique is its drop-in multiplayer mode, allowing players to spontaneously tackle single or multiple missions together. Each mission takes place in the children's own neighborhood and within the bizarre network of underground tunnels. A constantly changing array of procedural elements populates the world, including enemy encounters, loot to collect, and a set of objectives that differentiates each night from the previous one.
The Blackout Club will be released on July 30, 2019.
