The Caligula Effect will be released in the West as a Digital Deluxe Edition.
It includes a digital copy of the game, swimwear DLC, a PlayStation Vita theme, and 19 avatars. It will cost €39.99.
The students of Kishimai High School enjoy a blissful existence filled with studying and daily performances by the intoxicating virtual idol μ (pronounced Myoo). While many students are content with this idyllic lifestyle, some have uncovered a terrible truth about their lives: it's all a lie. The "perfect" world they inhabit is actually Mobius, a virtual reality construct created and controlled by μ. The protagonist discovers this secret and joins forces with a group of other students who call themselves the Go-Home Club. Together, they want to escape this virtual world. To do so, they must fight the brainwashed students known as Digiheads, battle enigmatic musicians, confront μ, and face their deepest traumas in order to be truly free.
