Supermassive Games has the long-awaited patch 1.060.000 for The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR An update has been released that primarily aims to resolve the reported graphics issues. It can be obtained as an automatic update via the PS5.

Nachdem The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR When it was released in March, many players showed (and we too) quite disappointed with the quality, as the visuals fell far short of what PlayStation VR2 is actually capable of.

This should now be a thing of the past, and the following problems have been fixed with the approximately 8GB patch. The changelog is also significantly more extensive than initially expected.

To celebrate the release of this crucial update, Supermassive Games has released a new trailer showcasing further in-game footage.

[UpdateA first quick look at the game confirms that the visual aspects, in particular, look significantly better, and the atmosphere has also been considerably enhanced. The rumble effects in the headset are now clearly noticeable as well, which is why a second look at the title is definitely worthwhile.

  • A problem was fixed where an incorrect score was displayed on the leaderboard screen after each chapter.
  • A problem has been fixed where text was cut off in the "Past Trip" screen in several languages.
  • A problem has been fixed where subtitles were visible in the pause menu when subtitle settings were adjusted during dialogue playback.
