At today's The Division Showcase There were also new impressions of The Division: Heartland from Ubisoft, which is being developed as a free-to-play title. In addition to a gameplay deep dive, the cinematic intro is also shown.

The Division: Heartland is being developed by Ubisoft Redstorm, who discuss the details of the gameplay, classes, playstyles, and other game mechanics in the latest video. They also address what players can expect in the upcoming testing phases.

The cinematic trailer, however, explores the story of Mackenzie Reed as she follows the trail of her former commander. This leads her to the once peaceful town of Silver Creek, where a mystery lurks and a new variant of the poison seems to be spreading.

The Division: Heartland - Closed Beta

Ubisoft also points out today the upcoming closed beta phase, for which you can register.

This is due, among other things, to the official homepage possible, where only the choice of the desired platform and a Ubisoft account are required.

In this game, you experience the challenges, excitement, and intensity of matches in a single play session. During the day, you explore and complete important objectives, search for materials and supplies, and face various dangerous enemies. As day turns to night, the demands increase and new enemies appear. You must avoid the ever-worsening contamination, fight your way through hordes of rogue NPCs, and confront new hostile players.

The start date of the closed beta phase is currently unknown.
