Almost thought to be lost, the survival horror title 'The Forest' will be released next year, as revealed at the PlayStation Experience.
The Forest is an exciting, beautiful, and simultaneously terrifying survival horror title. As the lone survivor of a crashed passenger jet, you find yourself in a mysterious forest inhabited by cannibalistic mutants. Your task is to explore the forest, build within it, and ultimately survive.
Features
- Enter a living, breathing world where every tree and plant can be felled. Explore a vast network of caves and underground lakes beneath the surface.
- Cut down trees to build a camp or make a fire to warm yourselves. Search for food to prevent starvation.
- Build a small shelter or a huge fortress by the sea. Lay traps to defend yourselves and create a safe environment.
- Explore the world by day and defend your base by night. Craft weapons and tools. Stockpile supplies or engage an enemy directly in combat.
- Defend yourselves against a clan of mutants who appear almost human in their beliefs and morals.
- Use stealth mechanics to bypass enemies or attack directly with weapons, stones, and other tools.
The Forest will be released in 2018.
