SNK Playmore today released the latest balance update for 'The King of Fighters XIV', version 1.03, which is available for download now.
Extensive balancing changes have been implemented based on the frequency with which players use certain characters. Additionally, the "fuzzy guard" issue that occurred when attacking from a standing position and transitioning from a crouched guard stance has been fixed.
In addition to the changes to the combat system, the online features have also been improved. The "Opponent Strength" can now be used as a new search option for RANKED MATCHES. Furthermore, players can now challenge opponents from their region in RANKED and FREE MATCHES via "Region Settings." In RANKED MATCHES, players can now also return to the "Waiting in Training Mode" menu at the end of a match. Additionally, players who prematurely end online matches will now face harsher penalties and be marked with an icon for other players to see.
In addition to numerous other small feature improvements and bug fixes, training settings can now be saved at the end of a training session.
