Besides new releases and re-presentations of various first-party titles from Sony, one important title was missing from Paris Game Week last week: 'The Last Guardian'. However, there's no cause for concern.

As Sony World Wide Studio boss Shuhei Yoshida said in a recent interview explainedThe Last Guardian is a game that relies heavily on its story. To avoid spoilers, the developers don't want to reveal too much before the release. However, development is progressing very well, so fans shouldn't worry about the release date.

“Development is going very well, but because this is about a story, we don’t want to reveal too much,” said Yoshida. “We want to show that it exists, how it works and how it runs. It’s not that we don’t want to show it before launch, but I think we’ll try to limit what we release from the game.”

Originally announced for PlayStation 3, the bombshell was dropped at this year's E3, and The Last Guardian was re-announced for PlayStation 4. Only with the current hardware was it possible to make the original version of the game a reality.

The release date for The Last Guardian is currently unclear.
