Anyone hoping for an imminent release of 'The Last of Us: Part II' will likely be a little disappointed today. As Naughty Dog has confirmed, the title is still in the pre-production phase.

This was revealed by Naughty Dog's Communications Director, Arne Meyer, who stated in a current interview He reveals that they have been fully occupied with 'Uncharted: The Lost Legacy', which is being released in a few days. Once its release is successfully completed, they will dedicate all their efforts to The Last of Us: Part II, and the game will enter full production. How long this process will take is currently difficult to estimate, so a release next year should only be considered very tentative.

Hints of potential locations

Furthermore, an interesting discussion is currently taking place on the Reddit forum, revolving around the potential locations of the survival adventure. As with the original game, Naughty Dog will likely use real locations again, apparently from Seattle and Washington. Several buildings and objects, such as parking meters and specific wooded areas, have been identified that might point to these locations. You can find more images here. via Reddit . view
