Despite the criticism currently circulating about Ready at Dawn's 'The Order: 1886', industry analysts have no doubt that the PS4 exclusive title will be a complete success for Sony.
Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter predicts that the shooter will sell at least five million copies. Pachter bases this assumption on the large hardware base of the PlayStation 4, which could initially translate to 3,5 to 4 million game sales for Sony. He anticipates that another one to two million PS4 consoles will be sold in the coming months, potentially pushing the title to the five million mark by the end of the year.
But that's not all; Pachter is placing high hopes on the official bundle for The Order: 1886, which will make the game more affordable. Over its entire lifespan, including Christmas, Black Friday, and other sales periods, The Order: 1886 could ultimately sell around 10 to 12 million copies, putting it on par with blockbusters like Assassin's Creed.
The tenant is also quite optimisticthat The Order: 1886 will receive very good reviews, which on Friday expected on Thursday.
"I think it's a very interesting game, and I like the alternate reality and the retro setting. I was a little skeptical about Red Dead Redemption because of the Western theme, as Western themes hadn't worked for me up until then, but it had a great story and did its job well. The Order isn't a Western game, but it's set in the Victorian era, it has the same ideas with old weapons, and the alternate reality makes it cool.
