Fireproof Games, best known for their escape room games on smartphones, have announced the next chapter, 'The Room VR: A Dark Matter', for 2020.
While the game's development is currently in full swing, the developer writes in the announcement:
“We’ve been pretty quiet lately while working on the next game in The Room series. Early in development, we decided to try something new. We wanted to explore how new technologies could enhance our unique gameplay experience and immerse our players in the mysterious world of The Room. We’re thrilled to announce the next game in the series, The Room VR: A Dark Matter, released exclusively on virtual reality platforms!”
The Room VR: A Dark Matter is being built from the ground up for the unique capabilities of VR, allowing players to inhabit the world of The Room and interact with its strange inventions in this captivating new chapter. The game begins deep within the British Museum in London, where the disappearance of a respected Egyptologist triggers a police investigation into the unknown. Along the way, discover cryptic locations, examine fantastical devices, and unravel an otherworldly element that blurs the line between reality and illusion.
Room VR: A Dark Matter will be released in early 2020.
