While work on ‘The Surge 2'While the DLC for Deck13 has already started, the original should not be neglected, and will now be given another free DLC.
The developer recently announced this DLC via Twitter; it's called the 'Cutting Edge Pack' and will equip you with additional gear. According to the announcement, the DLC consists of three brand-new sets of armor and weapons, which you can preview in the following tweet.

The Surge is set in a bleak future where Earth is nearing its end, and all those who remain in the overpopulated cities can only survive through hard work, as social systems are hopelessly overwhelmed by a rapidly aging population and devastating epidemics.
The Surge also features an innovative combat system and a unique character development system that relies on modular upgrades that must be earned in gripping, brutal battles.

Deck13 has now released more detailed information about the DLC, from which you can expect the following:
- The ANGEL combat suit was originally designed for the hostile vacuum of space. It withstands the harshest conditions known to humankind and is characterized by high attack speeds, improved energy harvesting, and increased damage with the so-called CODENAME weapons.
- Originally, army veterans were supposed to be able to start a new life with the help of the ASCLEPIUS, but now the regenerative powers will provide a decisive advantage in combat.
- The NANO WARD exosuit focuses entirely on protecting its wearer and adds an explosive surprise to a successful block – if the timing is right.
- For its offensive, Cutting Edge is offering new prototypes from CREO's research department. The weapons from the Blue Sky Project should probably never have seen the light of day – and were certainly not tested for safety.
- Experiment 44H, also known as Dark Star, could never have gone into production, as its deranged inventor sabotaged the entire project immediately after the prototype was completed. This weapon generates a unique containment field that will unleash devastation upon its enemies.
- The Engelhart is a boost weapon capable of generating immense heat at any time. However, it is just as dangerous for its user as it is for its opponents.
- The surgical instrument BioN J-1 gained dubious fame under the codename Last Aid. Originally designed for medical use, it was repurposed as a devastating weapon by a deranged doctor.
Once the free Cutting Edge expansion has been downloaded and installed, players in The Surge will find six new enemies located in the Abandoned Production, Executive Forum, and Nucleus areas. They are the key to unlocking new items.
