THQ Nordic is bringing back its own showcase. On August 7th at 21:00 PM CEST, the publisher will stream fresh updates on its most important brands.
After the Summer Game Fest comes the next wave of releases. For us gamers, this date, right in the middle of the summer lull, offers the perfect preview of the rest of the year. THQ Nordic now boasts a huge portfolio that caters to extremely strong niche markets far removed from the mainstream.
Packed line-up and early access updates
The announcement provides specific names right away. Included are Titan Quest 2, Wreckfest 2, The Eternal Life of Goldman, and the newly announced Expeditions: Samurai. Some of these titles are currently in Early Access, so we'll very likely get concrete release dates for the full versions. The community is especially eager for a release date for Wreckfest 2 and Titan Quest 2, as there's been far too much silence on those titles.
Things will get interesting with the promised "long-awaited revelations." Last year there was the first teaser for Darksiders 4Nothing has been released since. There's a good chance we'll finally see some real gameplay in August. THQ Nordic needs a true heavyweight project for core gamers this year. Darksiders is exactly that.
The timetable towards Gamescom
The timing of the event is no coincidence. Gamescom 2026 starts in Cologne at the end of August. The showcase serves as a digital preview. What is shown there will most likely be available directly at the playable stations in the exhibition halls at the end of the month.
The show won't be a sterile CGI extravaganza, but rather a gameplay showcase. The mix of niche sequels like Way of the Hunter 2 and potential blockbusters like Darksiders 4 is encouraging. THQ Nordic usually delivers without excessive hype. The August date is marked on the calendar.
Do you think THQ Nordic will finally reveal the details of Darksiders 4 this year, or will it remain limited to updates for existing Early Access titles?
