THQ today unveiled its official portfolio for gamescom 2011, which takes place in Cologne from August 17th to 21st. The public lineup of games includes exclusive first previews of THQ's most important titles.
The THQ booth in the consumer area will unveil two trade show debuts: Darksiders II, the highly anticipated sequel to the number one hit Darksiders, and adidas miCoach, the first interactive training program developed in collaboration with some of the most famous athletes in the international sports world. Furthermore, three of the most important releases of 2011 and 2012 will be showcased to the Gamescom audience: Saints Row: The Third, Metro: Last Light, and the soon-to-be-released Warhammer 40.000: Space Marine, which can be played in a spectacular 8 vs. 8 multiplayer mode across a total of 32 stations.
For players who enjoy competing against others in the virtual ring or octagon, terminals for the new fighting titles WWE '12 and UFC Undisputed 3 will be available. UFC Undisputed 3 will be available for the first time worldwide in Cologne as a publicly playable version. There will also be a very special event for WWE '12. WWE Superstar The Miz will be making an appearance at the THQ booth on Friday of the trade fair, answering fans' questions and signing autographs.
The award-winning uDraw GameTablet completes the diverse range of products. This allows players to unleash their creativity or participate in entertaining Pictionary tournaments in the familiar style of the game.
In addition to THQ's own games, players at the booth will have access to two other products from industry partners: Stronghold 3, the medieval real-time strategy game for PC from SouthPeak Interactive, and the third-person action game Ninja Gaiden 3 from Tecmo Koei. Both titles will be available for visitors to play.
