Some details have leaked about the new Tomb Raider movie, which will be released in 2021, and the story will follow the most recent trilogy, including Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Filming for the movie is therefore beginning. in a few months under the direction of Ben Wheatley. Filming locations include Beijing, England, Finland and South Africa, while Scandinavian countries are visited to capture the icy Siberia, as well as the city of Kitezh from the last game.

The story of both games will reportedly be continued in a single film this time, but the filmmakers also plan to revisit events from the games, as fans apparently love this. However, a 1:1 retelling is not expected. There are also rumors of supernatural elements, including monsters, ghosts, prophecies, and all that sort of thing.
