Konami has chosen Real Madrid and Wales winger Gareth Bale as the cover star of the upcoming 'UEFA EURO 2016' add-on for PES 2016.
Bale, who shone in qualifying for his Welsh national team, will be featured on the packaging and various materials of KONAMI's official UEFA EURO 2016 game. Players who purchase the physical version of the title will also have the chance to obtain Bale via bonus content for myClub.
myClub is an extremely popular game mode within PES 2016, which allows players to build their club into an unbeatable team under realistic management conditions using GP or myClub Coins earned in the game and in matches. Players who purchase a physical version of the UEFA EURO 2016 title receive exclusive myClub rewards, including a special Ambassador Agent, seven special Euro Agents who provide the user with seven players from the 24 qualified teams, and 10.000 GP per week for ten weeks.
Bale is a crucial part of Real Madrid's attacking midfield; his speed and skill will also be on display in France when he plays for the Welsh national team. In KONAMI's UEFA EURO 2016 title, Bale plays for the Welsh national team, which, like all 24 teams that qualified for the tournament, is featured in the game.
Europe's most important football tournament is taking place in France this year. Twenty-four teams will initially compete in the group stage before advancing to the knockout rounds. Qualified teams from across Europe will vie for the legendary Henri Delaunay Trophy; the opening match will be played on June 10th, followed a month later, on July 10th, by the final at the Stade de France. A total of 50 matches will be played during this period, showcasing the best players in European football.
KONAMI's official UEFA EURO 2016 title will be added to the main menu of PES 2016 and will be immediately visible upon launching the game. The physical version will include both the full version of PES 2016 and the UEFA EURO 2016 content. The UEFA EURO 2016 mode will feature all the icons and presentation elements of this year's tournament, as well as the Stade de France stadium, where the final will be held in July.
All 24 teams in the tournament are represented in the lineups in which they qualified. Thanks to the innovative Player ID and Team ID system, the individual styles of each player and team are almost perfectly replicated.
“Gareth Bale is one of the greatest players in the world, and we are delighted that he is the face of our UEFA EURO 2016 content for PES 2016,” said Erik Bladinieres, European Brand Director of Football at Konami Digital Entertainment BV “His talents and abilities make him the ideal choice for a game featuring the best teams in Europe. Bale is an integral part of Wales during the tournament, and we are delighted that he is enriching both the packaging and the UEFA EURO 2016 content itself.”
UEFA EURO 2016 will be released on April 21, 2016. (pr)
