Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection has the worst PC launch to date

By

The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection This is the latest port of a PlayStation exclusive title to PC. However, it appears to have been a complete flop, as recent figures show.

As the SteamDB analysis reveals, the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection as the worst PC port ever, with just 10.851 players on the first weekend. For comparison: Horizon Zero Dawn It reached 56.000 players here and God of War even up to 73.000 players in the same period.

This raises the question of how this could happen with such a successful Naughty Dog franchise? After all, with Uncharted 4 One of the most successful spin-offs is included in the collection. Users are raising concerns about the poor selection of titles, where one might expect... Nathan Drake Collection It should have started earlier, not in the middle of the story. Furthermore, the PC launch last week faced stiff competition from... A Plague Tale: Requiem, Gotham Knights and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Campaign.

The PC version includes the two titles Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and offers New, PC-optimized comfort and graphics features that meaningfully enhance the experience and are designed for different hardware.

Naughty Dog, however, states that they are planning further PC ports of their titles, even if the PS5 remains the primary development platform will remain the case. PlayStation users, however, are annoyed that, given such weak figures, the platform and its exclusivity are being sacrificed.

I had already bought it via Steam, but I couldn't start it because my processor is "too old." Research showed that Intel CPUs are only supported from the 4000 series onwards, which I don't understand. With my system (i7-3(930k, RTX-3070) I can even run the current Microsoft Flight Simulator in Ultra settings…

That doesn't surprise me at all, given the partly negative reviews.

i7-3930k and RTX 3070? What resolution are you playing at? Sounds like a serious bottleneck.

It's definitely worth it, they could only lose millions of fans. Those few extra bucks will surely make up for it. Jim and Hulst's logic, simply delicious. Like: "Hey, let's make a few more million with PC ports, maybe we'll lose billions in the process, but it'll all add up, YOLO."
Good sign. Now all that's needed is for the GaaS games to flop spectacularly, and heads will finally roll.

You're right, the main thing is the thumbs down.
These people, always.
I also hope Sony crashes and burns; you can see how loyal the new generation of investors really is.

Just ignore the fanboys. They're just new fashionistas who don't know anything. Give them Astro's Playroom to play, and they won't recognize a single game that's being commemorated there. No memories or emotions are stirred for them because they simply don't know it; next generation they'll be Xbox fans.

I wouldn't put it quite so harshly, but if they keep cheering on the current price, they shouldn't be surprised when Horizon Remake hits stores for €80. Even then, some will find it justified. And PC gamers get a free patch (because apparently they can't be expected to put up with it). They put the PS5 on a pedestal because it's cheaper than a PC, but then on the other hand, they don't have any problems if the games don't run at 4K 60fps. Well, then I could just say I have no problem with 720p resolution and 30fps on a Steam Deck, as long as the Sony games run. And then, suddenly, you don't need a PS5.
And Steam is only just starting out with hardware (I know they did it before), but something tells me they're serious this time. Just imagine if Steam releases a console with PS5 specs for €400. What would be the point of a PS5 then?

I'd say something completely different to those worms if I weren't going to get banned for it, hehe. I'd say it to their faces, of course. I had to edit the post. 😉

No way, if one day PS doesn't exist anymore. Piller and I are done with it; PS is heading for its downfall. People who still defend Sony for every little thing will be the first to abandon the sinking ship. Only then will Sony no longer need to pander to the "real" fans; the train will have left the station.

Yes, the next generation will then have PS launchers.
Well, at least it's the same ecosystem. Sony won't be making PlayStations anymore, just DualSense controllers. That's so sad.
