Epic Games is also present at GDC 2012 and is presenting a new version of the still popular Unreal Engine 3, which is used in numerous games.
Epic particularly emphasizes the engine's multi-platform applications, ranging from home consoles and PCs to portable devices like the PS Vita. You can see what else the new version of the Unreal Engine can do in the latest video.
The Unreal Engine 4, which is also currently under development, will not be shown until later this year, as was also confirmed at GDC. However, developers were apparently allowed a behind-closed-doors preview after signing a non-disclosure agreement.
