A sequel to the 2015 teen slasher 'Until Dawn' is not currently being considered by developer Supermassive Games. Instead, they are planning similar experiences, possibly also outside of PlayStation.

According to the  Managing Director Pete Samuels said there was a lot of speculation about what the studio was currently working on, but all he could say was that it wasn't Until Dawn 2, but other things.

“We really want to push this kind of experience forward, these cinematic storytelling-driven games, whether in the horror genre or not, as well as on other platforms. This shift in thinking came with the success of Until Dawn. It’s like, ‘Okay, we’ve reached a stepping stone, and it’s just a stepping stone forward in what we want to be as a studio and developer.’”

The next step is to expand the whole thing and create similar experiences, depending on the IP, the publisher and the platform.

In addition to the previously unknown project, Supermassive Games is also working on the VR project 'Rush of Blood', which will be released in October.
