Atlus USA releases a new trailer for Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth, who takes a look at the new fighting techniques.
While an illegitimate king rules the Yamato Empire with an iron fist, whispers of civil war circulate in the streets. In a world engulfed in chaos, some conflicts can only be resolved on the battlefield.
The game offers players significantly more battles. Nations and generals must choose a side in the civil war – fighting can erupt at any moment. The familiar faces from the predecessor, whom the player commands, are now seasoned warriors. New action chains, higher level caps, and the introduction of devastating co-op attacks and finishers offer players entirely new ways to succeed in the turn-based battles. With skillful planning, opponents are swept away with destructive attacks.
New game modes allow players to perfect their tactical skills and the proper use of various attacks. In Mock Battle mode, simulated battles are fought to gain experience points and learn new techniques, while in Munechika's Trials mode, players can test their military aptitude through challenging tasks.
