Bohemia Interactive has released a major story update for their loot shooter. Vigor published, in which one investigates a new mystery.
In Vigor Chronicles: Absolution Dark secrets await players, along with a new elimination map and corresponding changes to the mode. Players can also look forward to new items such as radioactive grenades, the L86A1 LSW machine gun, changes to various weapons, and improvements to the overall gameplay quality.
According to Bohemia Interactive, the new update expands the game's lore as part of a larger puzzle. Each update adds a piece to the puzzle to help players see the bigger picture. This time, the story is darker and more mysterious than ever before, exploring morality and personal values and showing how easily these can be lost in a post-apocalyptic world.
Here, players follow the investigations of Dr. Dubois and Dr. Azimov, who stumbled upon a dark secret while searching for a way to reverse radioactive contamination. The past is not hidden. What would each individual do when faced with a question of morality? Players will find the answer on eleven cassette tapes, which they discover at points of interest (POIs) during encounters and must return to their hideout.
“This is a story that will ultimately provide a lot of information that hasn’t been mentioned anywhere before. It will also make players question the characters’ decisions and see if they would react the same way in that situation. It’s super interesting to listen to and really makes you think,” says Filip Stastny, Vigor’s Brand Manager.
