Square Enix has announced the release date of Visions of Mana narrowed down further, it's the first main game in the series in 15 years. The series is also making its debut on Xbox.

It was presented Visions of Mana yesterday Xbox Developer Direct, Where WhatSeries producer Masaru Oyamada and series creator Koichi Ishii presented the upcoming installment. They offered a deeper look at the gameplay and how to create new monsters, for example.

Oyamada unveiled a new addition to the aerial combat system, which will take players to new heights in battle, allowing for physical weapon attacks as well as magical attacks in the air. Classic elements like Elementals also return, supporting players in combat as special items, with each weapon producing a different effect depending on its element, thus enabling a fast, flexible fighting style.

Pikuls as a new companion

New to Visions of Mana is a companion called PikulsThis enchanting new companion was created by the creator of WhatThe series was designed by Koichi Ishii and is inspired by animals and mythology. Pikuls helps you traverse the game's expansive map while exploring the vibrant world in Visions of Mana explored.

Finally, the soundtrack for Visions of Mana was presented, which contains over 100 tracks at launch. It comes from artists who have previously contributed to Mana titles, including Hiroki Kikuta, Tsuyoshi Sekito, and Ryo Yamazaki.

Visions of Mana will also feature a new adaptive music system that allows players to seamlessly transition from map exploration to battles, enhancing their sense of urgency by arranging background music that changes the moment players enter or leave combat.

Visions of Mana It will be released in summer 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
