On our report Regarding the various data plans that are suitable for the PS Vita, Vodafone contacted us and recommended another one that is specifically designed for the handheld.
The PS Vita (3G) is available directly from Vodafone for a one-time price of €49,99 when you sign up for the 'MobileInternet Starter' plan. The game WipEout 2048 is also included.
The plan costs €19,99 per month in conjunction with the PS Vita and offers 300MB of data at a speed of 1,8Mbit. Voice over IP and peer-to-peer usage are not permitted. However, switching to our recommended 'MobileInternet Flat 3,6 light' plan is possible. A connection fee of €29,99 also applies.
Over two years, the total cost comes to €559,74. Subtracting the price of the PS Vita and the game, this equates to a realistic cost of €8,74 per month. For those who can manage with 300 MB per month, this should be quite attractive.
