Gajin Entertainment today unveils the 'Chronicles of World War II' in 'War Thunder', giving players the opportunity to experience significant battles of this era.
Between mid-April and the day the war ended in Europe, players can participate in more than 40 of the 20th century's greatest military conflicts and unlock four new and unique premium vehicles. Available this year are the US T18E2 armored car, the French Lorraine 155 MLE.50 tank destroyer, the British Whirlwind P.9 ground-attack aircraft, and the Soviet TANDEM-MAI multirole fighter. In addition to the exclusive vehicles, event participants can also unlock dozens of themed badges and decorative items, available only during this year's event series.
Historical order
All events in the game take place in historical order, beginning with the German invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941 and culminating in the final battles of the Battle of Berlin in 1945. Pilots and tank drivers will face off on the scorching desert sands of North Africa, battle in the narrow streets of European cities, and vie for air superiority in the skies above the Pacific Ocean. Six new events are available daily for all difficulty levels, allowing participants to earn 'Chronicle Rewards' needed to unlock the aforementioned vehicles and more.
rewards
In addition to the exclusive rewards from events, there are also special trophies, including premium vehicles, that can be unlocked in regular random battles. Players can earn 'parts' by participating in battles, which they can use to unlock decorative elements and decals that were available in past events. Furthermore, these can eventually be spent to obtain the Soviet Lend-Lease premium vehicle Matilda Mk.II and the US PV-2D Harpoon premium bomber. The number of completed tasks by all players in War Thunder The progress is tracked on the game's official website, and all participants receive a reward upon reaching certain milestones and, ultimately, the blueprints necessary to assemble the premium tank and bomber.
Further information and the calendar can also be found on the official homepage.
