New modes, new abilities, a new Warframe, fresh weapons, and enough fan service to make veterans feel right at home.
New mode, new enemies – Warframe shakes up the meta
Our preview of The Perita Rebellion A new game mode has arrived that breaks with Warframe's usual routine. On a new battlefield on the Tau moon, players must survive for twelve minutes, complete objectives, and secure temporary upgrades. It sounds simple, but the new enemy factions quickly make it stressful.
The Anarchs, a mix of Dax, Grineer, and even hijacked Prime Warframes, appear as mini-bosses, designed to prevent exactly that: ease. Three possible final bosses await at the end, each with its own rewards. Warframe thus remains true to its core principle: combat, grinding, loot, but with more pressure.
Tauron Strikes and Uriel
The second major innovation is the Tauron StrikesPowerful ultimate abilities for the five Focus Schools. Everything feels bigger, more cinematic, and significantly more modern than previous Focus updates. In addition to already familiar Strikes like Vexoric and Cogron, the devstream showcased the final three variants: Thara (Madurai), Nidri (Vazarin), and Lorak (Zenurik).
In addition, there is Uriel, the 63rd. WarframeA demon commander with three summonable minions and abilities that look like they're scorched earth. Lore fans will be satisfied, as will gameplay fans. Uriel can be summoned via the mode The Descendia Earn it through gameplay, or buy it via Platinum as always.
New weapons, new operation, and TennoCon 2026
With Vinquibus, Digital Extremes also introduces the first bayonet weapon that utilizes both the primary and melee weapon slots. Additionally, Gyre Prime is being added, along with Alternox Prime and Kestrel Prime. Voruna receives a stylish deluxe package.
Shortly after release, another limited-time operation, Blood of Perita, will begin. Those who collect Marks of Valiance by January 6th can unlock new cosmetic items, provided the Old Peace quest has been completed.
The studio also announced the dates for TennoCon 2026: July 10–11 in London, Ontario. Tickets go on sale February 27, including only two Legendary Passes with a studio tour and voice session.
