"Ammo is cheap, trust is expensive." – This is the opening line of the new introductory video from A.R.C. Raiders The entire philosophy of the game is succinctly summarized, simultaneously explaining the hype surrounding it. In the dilapidated underworld of Speranza, mistrust is a survival strategy, not a sign of weakness. And those who rely on others for too long will likely wake up without loot, or without a pulse.

After the strong Sales launch of over four million units Developer Embark Studios has released a new intro video to introduce new players to the game's world. It's not a glossy advertisement, but rather a rough welcome message to newcomers, somewhere between a recruitment video and a warning.

A life between heaven and hell

In A.R.C. Raiders Players constantly switch between two worlds: the surface, a devastated landscape teeming with hostile machines, and the underground, where Speranza serves as the last bastion of human life. Here, raiders build their weapons, repair equipment, and prepare for their next perilous expedition.

“You’ve never seen anything like the Rust Belt, rookie,” "It's a merciless mix of tactics, risk, and improvisation," says one of the veterans in the video. "Whether alone or in a team of three, there's no mercy waiting outside, only the next ambush, the next attempt to bring the loot back alive."

Looting, survival, growth

The basic principle is easy to explain, but difficult to master:

  • Plunder, to secure resources and loot.
  • To Survive, despite deadly ARC machines and other raiders.
  • Grow, through crafting, upgrades and quests.

Every mission is a balancing act between greed and reason. The most valuable weapon is of little use if you can't bring it home safely.

Progress is made via a three-part skill tree:

  • To Survivequieter, faster, more careful.
  • Mobilitymore agile and nimble in combat.
  • Conditionstronger, more enduring, more robust.

This allows you to clearly shape your own play style, from silent plunderer to heavily armed front-line fighter.

Speranza, a city of rusty faith

The new video shows for the first time more of everyday life in Speranza: improvised workshops, rusty market halls, shady traders and a glimmer of hope amidst piles of scrap. "Spironza needs hands. Brave ones," The clip states, a clear message to all those who want to prove themselves: It doesn't matter who you were, but whether you come back.

Each merchant has their own goals, each quest tells a piece of life in this fractured society. And those who survive long enough earn not only credits, but also rank and influence, in a world where both literally determine life and death.

Machines as a constant threat

On the surface, however, only one law prevails: sheer numbers. The ARC machines – from agile drones to towering bastions – react mercilessly to every sound. Their origin remains unclear, but they are the common thread of danger. Every mission requires observation, planning, and sometimes simply the courage to run away in time.

A.R.C. Raiders Speranza isn't a classic shooter, but a social survival test with a sci-fi edge. It forces you to act, distrust, and improvise—not by choice, but by necessity. The new introduction video powerfully underscores this: Welcome to Speranza, Rookie. You'll need every shot and every decision.
