Yesterday, Square Enix announced the single release Hitman: Sniper Challenge, which will be released next week in preparation for the release of Hitman: Absolution.
In the Sniper Challenge, you're on a rooftop in Chicago and have to eliminate various targets with a sniper rifle. Square Enix has now released some further details about how the game works.
- The Hitman: Sniper Challenge is the pre-order box for Hitman: Absolution, which will be available in stores from May 15, 2012.
- Unlike in other European countries, there is no exclusive retail partner for Hitman: Sniper Challenge in Germany.
- Hitman: Sniper Challenge will therefore be available from May 15, 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in well-stocked stores everywhere.
- The Hitman: Sniper Challenge is a bonus we're offering free of charge to all customers who have already pre-ordered Hitman: Absolution and will pre-order before November 19, 2012. We want to thank our customers for their trust and provide a way to best bridge the waiting time until the release of Hitman: Absolution.
- The Hitman: Sniper Challenge is only available in the Hitman: Absolution pre-order box and will not be offered for purchase on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, or Steam. The purchase price of the Hitman: Sniper Challenge will be credited towards the purchase price of Hitman: Absolution starting November 20th upon presentation of the receipt from the same retailer.
Hitman Absolution itself will be released on November 20, 2012.
