Just a few days ago announcedEA and Koei Tecmo are today showing comprehensive insights into their new IP wild hearts, which will be released in 2023.
As a player, you embark on an epic adventure in a fantasy interpretation of feudal Japan. You face enormous beasts called Kemono, imbued with the power of nature, using Karakuri – sophisticated mechanisms crafted with a lost, ancient technology.
The world of Azuma has been ravaged by the once peaceful Kemono, who alter their environment at the cost of human lives. Kemono species range from plant-like squirrels to the giant wild boar known as the "Floragrunzer."
"With Wild Hearts, we wanted to not only showcase the evolution, fusion, and true threat posed by Kemono, but also create a game where crafting is central to the player experience, redefining what's possible in a monster-hunting game. We've placed great emphasis on making our Karakuri battle-ready, and we look forward to seeing players use these powerful mechanisms to fight formidable beasts and explore the world."
You can either roam Azuma as a lone wolf or, thanks to the game's co-op and cross-play features, hunt together with up to two friends across all platforms. Together, you can expand your battle plans and play special missions, join other hunters, or face the Kemono alone.
