In the latest Ringside Report, narrated by four-time Women's World Champion Bayley, 2K has revealed a number of new features for Universe mode and Community Creations. WWE 2K26 Introducing new features. Players will gain more control and creative freedom over their own WWE experience.
Universe Mode: Draft, Wizard, and realistic storylines
Universe mode remains the core experience for sandbox fans. According to 2K, players can now use the WWE Draft for the first time to trade superstars between shows, including customizable draft weeks. The new Universe Wizard is designed to make setup quick and easy for newcomers: setting the start month, planning shows, assigning champions – all in just a few steps.
Further changes affect storytelling and matches. The revamped Watch Show mode, additional promo types, improved Money in the Bank briefcases, and the ability to manage up to eight titles per show expand the strategic depth. Promos now offer more realistic interactions. Even promos allow for role changes or show swaps, while Call Out, Interrupt, and Open Challenge promos bring more dynamism to feuds. A new feature is the Post Match Interview, which allows winners and losers to directly advance storylines.
Whether the new features will truly function smoothly in everyday use remains to be seen. Promos and drafts, in particular, offer potential, but could prove frustrating depending on the menu navigation or AI interaction.
More slots, body morphing, and detailed control
The creative features also receive extensive updates. The Create-A-Superstar slots have been doubled (200), and the image slots expanded to 2.000. Body Morphing now allows for the free combination of body parts, while two-tone hair styling and precise body paint offer additional customization. The image uploader and improved arena editors, including LED barricades and expanded ring skirt options, open up further creative possibilities.
The timeline feature for entrances sounds particularly interesting. Detailed entrance animations for Champions, Double Champions, or Money in the Bank briefcases could finally convey a sense of staging again, provided the implementation remains user-friendly.
Ultimately, 2K delivers promising tools for fans who want to create their own WWE universe. Whether drafts, promos, or body morphing prove convincing in everyday gameplay will be revealed by the community when the game is released on March 13th.

It'll certainly be a good installment, but I don't need it every year. I'll probably skip it this year because the showcase about Community Creation Punk doesn't appeal to me at all. I don't play online. Something very important that's missing in the Community Creation section is the ability to import your own entrance music. That was possible in the PS3 era of the series, and it was fantastic. It's a shame that it doesn't seem to be possible anymore.
