What's even better than enjoying WWE on your flat screen? Sitting right at ringside! Thanks to WWE and a new partnership with NextVR, this will soon be possible for everyone from the comfort of their own home.
As announced today, several special shows will be produced for virtual reality and released for PlayStation VR and other headsets. To achieve this, special cameras were used at recent WWE events to capture the action in and around the ring from all angles, creating a 360° VR experience.
These experiences are approximately 10 minutes long and available for free on the WWE Channel with the upcoming NextVR app. Fans can look forward to a completely new experience, including highlights from the biggest events, the excitement of the fans, epic moments and showdowns, as well as some surprise appearances.
For each production, NextVR, together with WWE, will have an on-site production team setting up their cameras throughout the events, allowing an immersive view of the WWE action, which will be available for PlayStation VR, Samsung GearVR, Google Daydream View, and Windows Mixed Reality.
The NextVR app is already available for PlayStation VR with various experiences.
