To get you in the mood for the upcoming release of 'Yakuza 6', SEGA is showing a three-part live action series today, 'Tales of the Dragon: The Legend of Kazuma Kiryu', in which the legend of the "Dragon of Dojima" awakens.
The striking short films, created in collaboration with Liquid Advertising and director Christopher Erwing, were all filmed in Tokyo, Japan. They focus on telling the legend of the Dragon of Dojima from the perspectives of three people whose lives were fundamentally changed under the influence of Kiryu and his uncompromising, moral way of life when their own dragons awakened.
Each episode of the series is inspired by side stories from the Yakuza series – "The Bouncer" and "The Prodigal Son" from Yakuza Kiwami and "The Other Haruka" from Yakuza 5. These characters reappear several years after their fateful first encounter with Kiryu, and we get a close-up look at how their lives have changed in that time. Whether you're a longtime fan of the series or have just discovered the legends of Kiryu, players will have awe and respect for the Dragon of Dojima after learning these stories.
