Noch vor kurzem tauchten widersprüchliche Aussagen von Square Enix Yoshinori Kitase bezüglich DLCs für Final Fantasy XIII auf. Mal hieß es ja und mal hieß es nein. Wie nun das Backcover des Spiels verrät, sind tatsächlich weitere DLCs geplant.
So veröffentlichte die Handelskette GameStop die Rückseite des XBOX360 Covers. Dort findet sich der Eintrag „Game Content Download“. In welcher Form dann allerdings DLC´s geplant sind, ist nicht bekannt.
