It was already an open secret that a new installment of the popular open-world series was in development. But now there are finally tangible details - and they could come as a surprise to fans.
Secret casting info reveals first story details
The casting in question and the information it contained have since been removed. However, as is the way of the internet, a Reddit user was able to save and publish the data. According to these leaks turns Far Cry 7 about a wealthy family involved in an internal power struggle. This is strongly reminiscent of the TV series Succession remember.
Another important detail: the setting of the game could be New England. This region is mentioned several times in the casting descriptions, which indicates that Ubisoft is choosing the US East as the setting this time.
The Bennet family and a conspiratorial adversary
The leak also reveals some of the main characters. The Bennet family consists of Layla, Dax, Brie, Christian, Henry and Krista - and each of them wants to seize power. Sounds like an explosive mix.
The antagonist was also named: Ian Duncan. He is described as a "conspiracy theorist with an army of believers" who is "envious of the wealthy elite and their power". Alongside him, other supporting characters appear, including John Mackay and a doctor named Safna Kazan.
