Ghost of Yōtei to be released on October 2 for PS5, new trailer dedicated to Onryō's List

Five years after Ghost of Tsushima a new samurai epic rises from the mists of the north: Ghost of Yōtei appears on October 2 exclusively for PlayStation 5 - bringing a new heroine, a dark tale of revenge and an open world that's as beautiful as it is deadly.

Atsu's List: A revenge story in six chapters

At the center is Atsu, the sole survivor of a massacre that destroyed her family. Nailed to a burning ginkgo tree and left for dead, she survived - and now returns with a list. Six names. Six faces. Six reasons to draw the katana: The Yōtei Six - notorious outlaws who terrify Ezo. The snake. The Oni. The kitsune. The spider. The dragon. And at the top: Lord Saito.

But Ghost of Yōtei is more than just a classic revenge story. Atsu's journey develops into an emotional odyssey through the harsh landscapes of Ezo - today's Hokkaido. On the path of vengeance, she finds new allies, forges unexpected alliances and discovers that her past hides more than she suspected. A new game mechanic allows you to dive into Atsu's memories in flashbacks - revealing what she lost and what drives her.

How Ghost of Yōtei is changing the open world

The open world of Ghost of Yōtei is linked to the freedom of exploration of Tsushima but goes one step further: you decide which target you follow first, which Yōtei member you pursue and whether you dedicate yourself to side tasks such as bounty hunting or training with a weapon sensei. Between snow-covered mountains, dense bamboo forests and deserted coastal villages, you can light a campfire at any time - to rest, reflect or simply count the stars.
