April could be the month in which the gaming world is turned upside down once again. What was already rumored at the beginning of the year is now taking shape: Xbox games are increasingly finding their way onto the PlayStation 5 - and not just in short supply!

Forza Horizon 5 races onto the PS5

The award-winning open-world racing game Forza Horizon 5 celebrates its PlayStation debut on April 29. Those who could only look enviously at Xbox players until now will finally get the chance to make the beautiful landscapes of Mexico unsafe with up to 500 vehicles. A premiere that has never been seen before.

Forza Horizon 5 fills the gaping hole that Sony has consistently ignored for years - arcade racers. Sure, The Crew Motorfest is a strong alternative, but the fact that Microsoft of all companies is stepping on the gas like this on the PS5 is the perfect "Eat my dust!".

Indiana Jones finally picks up the whip on PS5

But that's not all: credible rumors saythat Indiana Jones and the Great Circle could be released as early as April 17. If this is confirmed, PlayStation fans will soon be able to slip into the iconic leather jacket and go on the hunt for legendary artifacts.

You have to hand it to Sony: since Uncharted they have masterfully managed to steer clear of cinematic adventures of this kind - probably so as not to accidentally get tangled up in captivating single-player gameplay. Fortunately, now Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and shows how good these times were.

Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition - soon for PS5?

Strategy fans should also be pleased: World's Edge, the studio behind the acclaimed Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition, has released the patch notes for a comprehensive update published. Although no exact release date has been given, there are increasing indications that the PS5 version will be released at the same time as the patch in mid-April. "We know you're curious, but we can't say anything concrete yet", according to an official statement. A clear "Yes, but not yet" so.

We'll save ourselves any expectations here. Strategy is currently not relevant for Sony in games, nor in its own strategy in terms of game output.

Oblivion remake: April release or just hot air?

Perhaps the biggest sensation, however, is looming in the shadows: Bethesda's Much rumored Oblivion remake could also be released as early as April. Official confirmations? Not yet. But the rumor mill is churning. If it is not released soon, it is likely that it will at least be unveiled by the end of April.

Even if it is still unclear whether Microsoft will open the big drumfire soon, this line-up unmistakably shows the outstretched middle finger in Sony's direction - and that Microsoft's publishing business on PS5 is only now really taking off.
