The eagerly awaited SXSW event for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach finally brought the long-awaited revelation: Hideo Kojima presented a brand new trailer and announced the official release date. Sam Bridges returns on June 26, 2025 exclusively on PlayStation 5 to once again traverse a mysterious and dangerous world.
Spectacular new trailer unveiled
The latest version of the Decima Engine from Guerrilla Games presents Death Stranding 2 in breathtaking graphics. The new trailer shows both gameplay scenes and in-engine sequences that provide a deep insight into the post-apocalyptic universe. The cinematic staging remains typical for Kojima, as do the dark atmosphere and surreal creatures that Sam and Fragile will encounter on their journey.
A surprise for fans: Luca Marinelli, known from award-winning films, joins the top-class cast. The Italian actor has been honored with a David di Donatello, an award at the Venice Film Festival and two silver ribbons, among other accolades. His character is still a secret, but the excitement about his role is growing.
Collector's Edition and pre-orders
In addition to the trailer, the Collector's Edition was also unveiled.
