Wenige Wochen vor den The Game Awards in diesem Jahr hat man die Nominierungen für das Game of the Year bekannt geben. Wie üblich dürften die erwählten Spiele für reichlich Diskussionsstoff sorgen, vor allem ein Titel.
Unter anderem steht in diesem Jahr nämlich Death Stranding zur Wahl, das aufgrund der doch sehr unterschiedlichen Kritiken für einige sicherlich kein Kandidat für den Award sein düfte. Vielleicht spielen hier aber auch ganz andere Kräfte eine Rolle, wenn man da an die besondere Freundschaft zwischen Kojima und dem The Game Award Host Geoff Keighley denkt. 😉

Ein persönlicher GOTY Kandidat fehlt mit Days Gone leider komplett, obwohl es besonders unter den Spielern sehr gut ankam.
