SNK hat den kürzlich angedeuteten NeoGeo Mini jetzt offiziell vorgestellt, die damit den gleichen Weg gehen, wie einst Nintendo mit dem NES und SNES.
Der Neo Geo Mini stellt im Grunde ein Nachbau des NeoGeo MVS-Automaten im Miniformat dar, verfügt über ein 3,5″ Bildschirm, einen Retro-Joystick und sechs Buttons. Die Abmessungen umfassen 135 mm (B) x 108 mm (T) x 162 mm (H), sowie wiegt das Ganze 600 g. Weiterhin ist ein HDMI-Anschluss vorhanden, zwei Controller-Ports, sowie ein Anschluss für Kopfhörer.
Vorinstalliert sind hier 40 Spiele, die allerdings erst noch bestätigt werden. Erwartet werden Highlights wie Metal Slug-Titel, The King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, Last Resort, Robo Army sowie weitere NeoGeo-Klassiker.
Der NeoGeo Mini wird zudem in verschiedenen Farben verfügbar sein, darunter rot, weiß, blaues Modell für Japan, sowie blau, weiß, schwarz für den internationalen Markt.
Der endgültige Preis und die Verfügbarkeit wird man zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt enthüllen.
