Bereits Anfang Februar verriet die Rückseite des God of War III Packshots, dass das Spiel ohne Installation auf der Festplatte auskommen. Dies wurde nun von Christer Ericson, Head of Technology beo Santa Monica bestätigt.
„God of War 3 does NOT do a HD install. The 5MB listed on box back is for save game only.“
Lediglich 5MB Platz werden für das Savegame benötigt. Somit kann zum Release im März direkt losgespielt werden. Ein offizieller Release für Europa ist weiterhin offen.
