God of War räumt den Game of the Year Award ab

Das Jahr 2018 war eines der Spannendsten in dieser Generation und brachte ein Spiele-Highlight nach dem anderen hervor, die sich nun um den Game of the Year Award stritten.

Nominiert waren God of War, Celeste, Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin´s Creed Odyssey, Monster Hunter World und Marvel´s Spider-Man. Mit nach Hause nehmen konnte den Award letztendlich God of War von den Santa Monica Studios, auch wenn viele wohl eher auf Red Dead Redemption 2 getippt hätten. Immerhin ging das Spiel von Rockstar nicht völlig leer aus, dafür aber Marvel´s Spider-Man, das nicht einen Award mitnehmen konnte. War es zuviel Konkurrenz?

Die rund dreistündige Show wurde von zahlreichen Liveacts und Ankündigungen begleitet, darunter Mortal Kombat XI, The Pathless, das neue Dragon Age-Projekt, The Last Campfire, Crash Team Racing, The Outer Worlds, Far Cry New Dawn oder Savage Planet Game.
